This is the deck that I used to beat The Land of Sorrow in solo play. If you are familiar with Elrond/Vilya decks there isn't a lot that is new here.

Mulligan

The most important card to find in your opening hand is of course Vilya as it will enable you to get powerful allies our very quickly. Master of the Forge will allow you to look for Vilya if you don't find it in your first hand or your mulligan. The second most important card to see in your opening hand is Imladris Stargazer so that you can control what cards will be played with Vilya. The deck can operate pretty well using Vilya blindly, but obviously having more control is optimal. Unexpected Courage or Light of Valinor is great to see early as well so that you use Elrond for more than playing Vilya, something that is critical for speeding up your deck and not allowing the staging area to grow out of control. Elven-light or a duplicate of one of 2 cost allies can be great because it allows you to play two 2 cost cards in the first round being able to ideally set up Imladris Stargazer and Vilya up in the first round.

Gameplay

I generally find that I like to travel to The Barracks first since I often only have Dain ready and I'm not worried about doing damage on the first round. Dain should be able to handle any of the Wardens under that location. This means that you should plan accordingly for how many cards you will be milling with Dain's ability, ideally finding a few cards that you don't mind to mill. Ulwarth can provide some issues early on because you don't have a lot of firepower for taking him out. Ideally you defeat him with a Fair and Perilous, but it often takes two rounds or even three if you don't have a lot of readying abilities.

It should be pretty obvious what each ally does so I won't go over all of them. However, I do want to highlight how amazing Elfhelm is in this quest. One of the easy ways to lose this quest is to not get going fast enough and have your threat really start to ramp up. Elfhelm will often prevent 10+ threat gain over the course of the game. The Galadhrim's Greeting is very important and I made it a priority to play all three through either Vilya or hard casting it with your spirit resources.

The last point I want to emphasize is how critical healing is in this quest. The combo between Elrond and Warden of Healing was the entire reason I was drawn to picking Elrond in the first place. Once you have Vilya out, you should always be using Arwen's ability to place an extra resource on Elrond when you have the chance. In addition to allowing you to play a high cost ally that ends up in your hand, it will also allow Elrond to generate 2 resources per turn, allowing him to heal up to 8 damage on heroes or allies each turn!
