FailedStalker 21

FailedStalker has a newer deck inspired by this one: A Perilous Discard Deck

First deck; looking to do a Graveyard/discard theme. Perilous Voyage seemed like a good fit with the amount of cards I will be drawing and discarding.

Switched out Círdan the Shipwright with Arwen Undómiel just to try it. Still allows me to discard from hand on demand, I just cycle through one less card per turn. Also lowering threat by 3 seems OK. But, if it doesn't work out, might switch out Dáin Ironfoot instead.

Added some more utility from last revision and tried to make sure not too have too many Lore cards, since there is only one green source.

Hopefully will try it out soon and see how it goes.

Side note: Favor of the Valar and A Perilous Voyage no not work together as I found out, so I took it out of this deck. If anyone else was wondering about that, then there ya go :)

Cool deck! I love A Perilous Voyage decks! I just played it against The River Running, and it made mince-meat out of that quest! Drew down the deck to 18 cards in 9 rounds.

Awesome, that's great to hear! Did ya see any major weaknesses with it on the run through? And ahh yess, I love drawing cards.

It’s a bit starved for resources, even with Arwen, so I would probably cut some of the >2 cost cards. Map of Earnil would be a first cut, given that you are paying 2 for it, there aren’t a lot of great targets, and you still have to pay the events cost. Maybe sub in Unexpected Courage for Dain. His ability to defend early game was pretty important in the couple of games I played. You could also put in a couple of Stewards, which you can get in through Reforged or when the contract flipped (I didn’t think there were a lot of obvious candidates in the deck for when the contract flips).

@SchadenfreudeNE Ahh gotcha. I went through and tweaked a couple of things. I don't know why, but I knew Zigil Miner existed but didn't add him. He is in there now and should probably help with some resource stuff. I did add a couple of Steward of Gondor and some Unexpected Courage. I'll probably post my new version soon... I just don't like spamming the site haha.

Thanks for the advice! I am mostly just guessing on this stuff, cause I think I have played the game only once.. ever. I am just guessing on what is needed right now. I just like making decks for card games. Hopefully will get to try the deck out soon and see how it goes!

Those are all good changes. Elven Light eats up resources so getting some sphere bleed to generate more resources is worth it. For some inspiration, here is a Perilous Voyage deck I’ve been working on over the past few months: ringsdb.com

@SchadenfreudeNE I was able to find that deck on your profile; looks super nice. Didn't realize how much other colors can discard as well haha. I will have to give that a try sometime! (I am also going to post my last revision... probably will be the last revision for a while. Hopefully)
