weppnesp has a newer deck inspired by this one: Crazy Harad Isengard Solo

I wanted to try a Harad deck for solo use. I decided to thematically attach Kahliel with Saruman. The third character, (MotK) Gavin (thanks to MotK and ALeP), is there solely for resource generation and low threat.

Both of my "real" heroes have opportunities for multiple uses per round with a plethora of doomed and Harad cards and the Leather Boots attachment. I added a few cards for threat reduction (maybe not enough) and resource generation.

I also had to fight location lock with Gavin's ability but maybe some synergy also with Leather Boots and I think Gimli (with Gavin's ability the enemy is revealed but then discarded).

gavin cant have attachment so he cant be made a hero with MOTK

Thanks jvader. The contract is not called an attachment but you do "attach" to said ally. Does this rule Gavin out? Probably. Anybody?

If you have them, either (MotK) Bilbo Baggins or (MotK) Arwen Undómiel would be a better choice than (MotK) Gavin if you just want a low threat starting hero. Bilbo can fetch you a Spare Pipe to help dig out Doomed events right away, while Arwen's ability is, of course, incredible plus she gives you access to Elrond's Counsel -- which is a great solo card and excellent in a Doomed deck.

Inspired choices kjeld. I was trying to go with a thematic deck and it is difficult to place a hobbit or elf with Saruman (of course he was good during the Hobbit era so Bilbo would work well). As often with the game you have the answer the question: Do you want a good deck or do you want theme. Often hard to reconcile the two.

Two questions:

[1] Is the consensus of the community that (MotK) Bill the Pony and (MotK) Gavin are not legal hero-s under the contract Messenger of the King?

[2] Does Gavin's response ready Gimli?
