This is basically my "let's cram all the best dwarf stuff from all four spheres into a single deck" deck... and it works pretty dang well! (Dwarves are spinky like that.) Unsurprisingly, it's an ally-swarm deck, but it also makes heavy use of the deck discard "mining" theme and that's what makes this deck fun for me. The mining is just fun and thematic and it adds both an element of strategy and gambling. If your Will of the West gets discarded, make sure you cycle that back into the deck with an Ered Nimrais Prospector as it is highly likely that you will go through your whole deck!
Basic deck need break-down:
Questing- Dain. Period.
Combat- Spam out your allies and kill stuff. If everything is going smoothly, then you'll have gotten those tactics allies into play (probably with A Very Good Tale) and you'll be laughing off all but the very mightiest of foes.
Resources- The likes of Bifur, Hidden Cache, and A Very Good Tale can help you get just about all your cards into play with ease.
Card Draw- King Under the Mountain is the main method, with Legacy of Durin, and Expert Treasure-hunter as gravy.
Threat Control- #Nori. Period.
My Standard Disclaimer: I don't play on Octgn or at a game store. I play solo or with my friends, who all use the decks that I have built. This means that I try to keep lots of pre-made decks lying around (I have over 10 at the moment). This further means that those popular standards (A Test of Will, Unexpected Courage, Steward of Gondor, Feint, etc) tend to get spread around and mostly my decks aren't perfectly optimized. Rather than post the perfected versions, I've opted to post what actually ends up getting played at my house.
I like this deck! The dwarf mining mechanic isn't as strong as the noldor discard mechanic but it's still quite fun! Would you be able to post the other decks you have? I'm curious to know the makeup of decks you have simultaneously built, as this is one of my goals for this game
