This is an all purpose deck that quests and fights in equal measure. It is packed with high cost but powerful allies who support a hero lineup with impressive stats.
Principle 1: Timely Aid
This is a key card in this deck. Good Meal is included almost purely for the purpose of paying for it. However, 10 of the 20 allies in the deck are valued 4 or higher, so even paying full price it has a good chance of returning an ally for at least normal cost.
Principle 2: Resources
Tighten Our Belts is the perfect card for this deck. With a strong hero lineup, you can often get away without paying for a card for a round early on (with this deck you may have no choice). But, one round of no spending can result in 9 resources at your disposal next round. All of the sudden those allies don't seem so steep.
Principle 3: Threat, Éomer and keeping the staging area trim
Get Éomer tooled up in the normal way (an endeavor helped along by Galadriel) along with [Steward of Gondor] (/card/01026) and use his ability to take out enemies in staging. Westfold Outrider combos well with this, as you can engage a high threat enemy, buff Sam Gamgee, kill a weak enemy in staging and put the rest of the damage on the enemy you just engaged.
