I am curious as to why you are using high cost allies with no easy way to pay for them? Right now, it will take you six turns to buy Beorn. Merry would be superior to Fatty Bolger, and Elf-stone would help pay for Beorn or Gildor Inglorion. If you want some more ideas for a never engage fellowship, check out this one I made:
