Synopsis
This solo deck is made to feature Haldir and his staging area attack ability. It just doesn't get old taking out some bewildered orc before he even gets a chance to ruin your day.
Design
This group loves their toys and in solo you can bring them all and hoard them like an only child. The attachments fit their respective owners like a hand in glove and need little explanation. Eowyn will take the first Resourceful that comes around. Glorfindel gets the first Unexpected Courage if he hasn't yet found his Light of Valinor.
These three heroes put the deck in secrecy mode. Elrond's Counsel helps to stay there a bit longer. Keen as Lances can help, but that card is designed to draw more cards in the mid-to-late game when resources are piling up.
The opening hand is looking for the secrecy cards and the weapons, mulligan if none are found.
This group bolts out of the gate questing for at least 8 and has just enough ally support to keep the pressure on the encounter deck. Get Haldir his weapons and most enemies will fall before engaging. Ally defenders are here in case a low-threat enemy sneaks past the thicket of arrows and blades.
A dash of cancellation included, because this is a fragile crew that can easily get thrown off its game in solo.
It might seem like it's "The Eowyn/Haldir Show" based on the report below, but Glorfindel is the glue guy here doing his questing work and the occasional attack, not to mention location control if his horse finds its way to the table.
Once out of secrecy, let loose with the Deep Knowledge because this deck runs card poor. The cost curve is pretty low here in hopes for a good start buffing up the heroes. Resources easily pile up so good to have card draw for the mid-game.
Performance
The Nin-In-Eilph - Eowyn was the MVP defending against the boss enemy with her Golden Shield multiple times with help from Arwen. Beat it on the second try.
The Wastes of Eriador - Haldir kept the wolves at bay throughout a very lengthy second try, but Eowyn once again just loves to show off her beast-slaying skills.
Journey Down the Anduin - Just for kicks, a stroll down memory lane. So nice to take a leisurely stroll down the river while Haldir takes potshots at the Hill Troll. By the time the final enemy rush came, the weapons-bristled heroes said, "Bring it." It was the first time I felt bad for the Hill Troll.
You can even Straight-shot a Mumak with Haldir and a Rivendell Blade.
