CardAddict 37

All the decks I make are intended for multi-player games, since I enjoy the social aspect of playing with others. This means that the decks tend to be specialised and rely on combining with other decks that specialise in other aspects of play. Please bear this in mind when reviewing and commenting on the deck.

Note: This deck uses boon cards as regular cards in the deck; it does not obey the normal deck-building rules in this respect. Players who want to use the normal deckbuilding rules should substitute the boon cards with alternatives.

This is a lore-based Hobbit deck that uses ring-sphere Frodo with some of his ring-sphere cards. The deck has a massive amount of card-draw and it also gains additional resources easily, allowing it to churn through cards rapidly. It is best to get Resourceful in your opening had to get an immediate boost to your resource income. It is also useful to get Frodo's Intuition within the first three or four turns, since this allows you to do a high-willpower quest and also draw a large number of additional cards to replenish your hand. Use Drinking Song to churn-your cards to get these two cards early. In the late-game you can make recurring use of Gaffer Gamgee to prevent enemies from attacking and allow you to absorb some enemies.

This deck plays a supporting role in multiplayer games, contributing some questing and occasionally absorbing an enemy character. It also provides card-draw to the first player using Bilbo Baggins, which will allow other players in the fellowship to gain additional opportunities. The low threat of this deck allows it to engage enemies selectively and it combines well with combat decks that can do the heavy-lifting in attack and defence. The deck also contributes to reducing the strength of the encounter deck by using Gildor's Counsel and Tom Bombadillo!. All in all the deck provides solid support to other decks in the fellowship.
