Introduction
This is a thematic Outlands swarm Deck, consisting of Leadership Heroes only, to make use of Lord of Morthond and Strength of Arms.
Playstyle
Pile as much resources on Hirluin the Fair as you can with 2 from Steward of Gondor and 1 per round from Denethor and optionally Errand-rider.
Never use Sword of Morthond on Faramir, as he will be exhausted for his ability all the time. Instead play it on Knight of the White Tower to create a real powerhouse there.
Try to get allies of 4 different spheres ASAP and then simply lean back and watch your swarm do the work :) And dont forget about Prince Imrahil with Prince of Dol Amroth, he becomes a beast and can potentially ready multiple times each round.
Starting Hand
You want at least one of the following:
Outland allies of 2-3 different spheres
Conclusion
This is a very strong swarming deck, that can put up with most quest even solo, if you get some time to build up. Also I like that it is very thematic without getting weak as a result. Hope you like it - try it out or leave me a comment :)

Nov 04, 2016I think Faramir is not a viable option here because the Knight of the White Tower needs some setup and all other allies are rather weak. Denethor is a quarter stone of this deck and replacing him slows down this tremendously. Faramir ally is better too, imho because of the many cheap allies. So the additional action from Strength of Arms must be enough for the Knight ;) I like your idea with Rod of the Steward and will add it in the next version as you proposed :) |
I know Denethor is great here, because their 2 starting resources really help, and his ability to transfer his resource to Imrahil is also great for an outlands deck, but... you considered Faramir hero istead of him?
Having such a powerhouse like Knight of the White tower, it would be great to give him an additional action each time you engage an enemy, may it be worth losing Denethor and Faramir ally for this?
I also think that it could be easy to fit one or two "rod of the steward", maybe one for a Lord of Morthond, and another for a Prince of Dol Amroth, since both of them are uniques.
