Tri-sphere Outlands deck uses Bifur to help play Lore early, and any card later when Narvi's Belt comes out. Beregond provides spirit for the deck, but more importantly provides a strong defender to help the Outlanders build up in peace. Inner Strength makes his starting defense 5 and ensures a steady stream of threat reduction on defense.
Steward of Gondor is obviously the best card to see in an opening hand, though it can't be played until the second turn.
