This is my take on a Dwarf deck using just Revised Cards Only #RCO.

Yes it is a 53 card deck, but I pretty much make all my decks 53 cards if im running Daeron's Runes

I decided to move away from the mining mechanic in the Dwarves of Durin starter deck. I started revolving the deck around taking damage to gain bonuses, where I first had Gimli and Glóin at the core of the deck, though testing how I built around them I found the deck not to work as I wanted. So, I stepped back and made more of a generalised deck, though still with a focus on boosting Gimli. Early on I take an undefended attack or defend an attack from a large enemy to get some damage on him. Then as the game moves along getting things such as Citadel Plate, Dwarven Axe or War Axe. This then will let you take care of just about enemy you come across.

The rest of the deck is built with multiple routs depending what you encounter, where I had a generalist approach in this. To help with the questing aspect i dropped Glóin and added Dáin Ironfoot instead. The other idea with the deck with like most dwarf decks, get allies in quickly to take advantage of the 5 dwarves in play abilities on a number of the characters

Its a bit difficult to outline how the deck should be used as it really depends on the situation you find yourself in, there are answers within it for most things I came across in testing. Speaking of testing, this deck had been one of the most powerful of the decks I have made to date, #RCO and decks outside this constraint. I even had my best run of Journey along the Anduin with this deck ever and I have played that quest many times. I was able to defeat the Hill Troll on turn one and then have complete control over the rest of the quest.

Just a side note, I had the intention of using the combinations of We Are Not Idle and Lure of Moria, though in practice this combo was not what I had imagined. I did read that this was a very powerful combo before We Are Not Idle was updated. Anyway, I kept these cards in as they became useful in their own right. We Are Not Idle came in handy when I found myself not using a hero or two, allowing me to gain some extra resources and draw a card (this usually occurring when I was expecting to drawn an enemy in staging but none coming out) While Lure of Moria saw me doing some very powerful finishes on some quests where I was able to quest really hard and then been in a position to face a climatic battle at the end.

Anyway I have found this to be a good generalised Dwarf deck with lots of options and I think a good deck to use in a #RCO card pool

Looks fun, especially for combat-heavy quests! Have you considered adding Vigilant Guard for Gimli? You also have enough allies to run A Very Good Tale, could help you get Ori online faster :).

@TheGameLocker yeah I did look at using Vigilant Guard but it seemed a little bit overkill with 3 x Citadel Plate given I need room in the deck to beable to deal with other things. Though could try replacing Citadel Plate with 3 Vigilant Guard and see how that works out. I do like the 4 extra hit points the Citadel Plate gives, though Vigilant Guard is a little more versatile in taking damage to get Gimli powered up, though you won't be able to get him as damaged. Also, A Very Good Tale is a good option in the deck, I would probably drop the 3 copies of We Are Not Idle

We Are Not Idle is perfect to keep in - it's cantrip, replacing itself with another card, so it effectively shrinks your deck size (sort of like Daeron's Runes does). The potential resource acceleration is icing on the cake, and very tasty icing as this deck wants to play allies quickly.

The beauty of Vigilant Guard is that it's not restricted, so it doesn't need to replace your Citadel Plates. But it can protect your OTHER characters from nasty treacheries that could otherwise kill them (like Necromancer's Reach, or Biting Wind), or an unexpected shadow effect that does direct damage or an unexpected attack boost. I think this combos well with your Self Preservation since then it isn't just limited to healing Gimli alone - it can effectively heal your entire board by redirecting the damage to Gimli. Plus, it can let you more precisely control the damage coming to Gimli, so you can safely put the max damage on him without needing to risk defending any attacks. My 2 cents anyway :).

@TheGameLockergood points. There is definitely ways to play around with how the deck works. Might give the Vigilant Guard a go and see how it opens up more options.
