A Very Good Tale is the important card to find early. There are a many ways to get two big allies into play quickly in order to use it effectively:
- Reinforcements
- Play a leadership ally on turn two manually, and Sneak Attack in another.
- Play or Sneak Attack in one ally, and use Ranger of Cardolan's ability to get a second ally (note that you can wait until the refresh phase, after using the ranger for combat, before using A Very Good Tale).
Then repeat A Very Good Tale using Tome of Atanatar to get a board full of huge allies really quickly. A Good Harvest is there to help you play off-sphere cards that you draw, but also to play Will of the West once your deck is empty, so make sure you save a copy.
Steward of Gondor goes on Amarthiul so he can pay for Tactics allies.
