Pirate Brahm 1062

This is an update to Damrod's Fun Run:(http://www.ringsdb.com/decklist/view/3997/damrod-s-fun-run-1.0)

After a few plays, I thought the original deck needed a bit more ally support for combat without sacrificing willpower. Treebeard and a few Wandering Ents made the difference.

When I play two-handed, I used to pair a combat-heavy mono-lore trap deck (http://ringsdb.com/decklist/view/3233/lost-in-the-forest-3-0-3.0) with a solid questing deck, but that would occasionally restrict my combat options. I decided to move the traps over to the questing deck so it could play alongside something a bit leaner and meaner in combat.

Arwen Undómiel synergizes well with the extra card draw from Damrod's ability. Attach trap, draw a card, activate Arwen, discard a card, gain resources. Use Daeron's Runes to draw extra cards and discard Elven-light so you can draw more cards. Anborn and Erebor Hammersmith return traps from your discard, so feel free to toss them to Arwen early in the game if you haven't come across an Elven-light yet.

Thrór's Key and Thror's Map are oldies that I suddenly found to be very valuable, especially when encountering those nasty Drowned Ruins locations. The Hammersmiths are great for reusing that key when you need it. Or you can pull Asfaloth out of the sideboard and strap him to ally Glorfindel.

The traps do their thing to keep the baddies at bay. Elrond with Light of Valinor and A Burning Brand is your best defender until you can drop a Forest Snare or get Treebeard onto the table. Both your defenders should have no trouble healing up.

And if thwarting enemies and locations is not enough, three copies of A Test of Will provides some Treachery control. Elrond's Counsel is there to manage your threat.
