Context. I just picked up the Fellowship and Two Towers boxes. I wanted to make 2 decks using as many new cards as I could to try and work through the campaigns included. Paired with a Hobbit/Ent deck for a two person playthrough.
Personal notes
- Didn't want to run Aragorn
- I've stopped using Steward of Gondor (Obviously a mistake card)
- Haven't ran these decks yet, so I will probably be changing things up
- Some more obvious missing cards, most likely because I didn't want to butcher my other decks quite yet.
- Biggest consideration is adding threat reduction to make better use of Sam
Goal is to use Gandalf as many times a turn as possible. Hence Cram, Shadowfax, Magic Ring, etc...
Secondary Goal is to stack up high cost allies. Sneak Attack might be the obvious add here, but not sure yet.
Specific Card Thoughts
- Reinforcements and Grim Resolve are used for late game plays or fat attack bonuses from Flame of Anor early.
- Wizards Pipe is huge for Max Galadriel, Flame, Send for Aid, etc plays. Also makes Reinforcement not a dead draw
- Multiple copies of Hobbit Cloak and Staff of Lebethron are to for the Hobbit Deck
- Envoy of Pelargir is to utilize Gandalf resources when I don't have solid plays off the top.
- Theodred is to max out resource gain, and he is low threat for better Sam plays.

Jun 26, 2024i do not know to what cards u have access. i would reduce:
would include:
if u have acces:
if you have the angmar-box Keen as Lances is worth consideration (for cards or threadreducing) in multiplayer the Greenwood Archer evan without Celeborn or Naith Guide are good for leadership if elves of lorien is availaible. |
Interesting try. Well, Merry in the Fellowship designed to slay the enemies from encounter decks and looking forward to see how it goes
Double back is the side quest I just received today and can build more powerful decks. My last successful attempt is more like progression mode
Difference is adding elf starter deck. So far so good. Good luck
