Taking advantage of Thurindir's ability, this deck focuses on two themes: side quests and Dunedain shenanigans.

With Thurindir's ability, grab Gather Information as your first side quest because it's free, the easiest to complete, and will help your teammates get set up more quickly. After finishing, do Keep Watch to nerf the enemies. I used to like Horn's Cry in Dunedain decks, but Keep Watch just send that card out to the pasture. If possible, attach a The Long Defeat to one for some extra card draw or healing though hopefully you don't need that effect.

I think that card draw beats all so this deck features many cards to do just that. Heed the Dream and Master of the Forge can fetch me some of my Dunedain stuff to set up Amarthiúl like Dúnedain Warning, Armored Destrier, and Heir of Valandil. After that, hopefully the enemies will be easy enough to tank away with Amarthiul, Guardian of Arnor, and Vigilant Dúnadan.

This pairs best with a powerful questing deck since it needs the help to complete the side quests quickly and because it specializes in defense. Sam Gamgee over Théodred might be a solid choice for a solo deck though more changes would likely be needed as well.

@BardLee4did you consider Dúnedain Message as a way to reliably fetch more side quests? The ability of Thurindir to get a willpower boost the more you complete can be a really nice thing to have in my experience. I've had him questing for 6 before in this manner and it can be game changing.

@D4rkWolf10Tutors like Dúnedain Message are amazing. I considered it, but I usually used Gather Information to get my second one. I also use the Heed the Dreams to grab them if I want. I played it a few times at GenCon and I really never needed the willpower from Thurindir; the abilities were what we benefited from the most. Once Legacy Blade comes out, I think I will try to find the slots for it as well as an extra Wingfoot to get some more attack.

Why no Thalion

@LEGOlas This deck was published in August of 2017 and Thalion wasn’t released until December 2018. I’m sure it would be worth a copy or two if you were trying to make a modern version of this idea.
