This is just my take on how the classic hobbit deck will look post-Mountain of Fire. Nothing really new here, but I think Rosie Cotton and Friend of Friends really bring the deck to a new level. Haven't played this version yet, but if the classic deck is any indication, this should be an even better version. Again, not top tier or anything, but it's an incredibly fun and iconic deck I'm glad to see reinforced. Can't wait to get my hands on MoF o build this. I'd love to get some suggestions or feedback from people who've played this deck extensively. Maybe some more card draw effects should be put in there? Any suggestion is welcome.

Sep 21, 2017Oh snap! Can't believe I forgot him. Consider him included in there, though it's hard to decide what to take out. As always, thanks, |
Sep 22, 2017I absolutely love these style of decks. It was a stroke of brilliance on Caleb's part to end the sagas with Rosie Cotton. That card single-handedly brought hobbits back into the spotlight. When I get a chance, I'll build this deck and give it a try. I especially like all of the singleton copies of unique allies. You did not list a sideboard, but the only critique I would add is that hobbits are squishy, so you will definitely need Warden of Healing or Self Preservation for quests with a lot of archery or other direct damage. |
Sep 22, 2017I fully agree with your thoughts, |
Sep 23, 2017I've found with Rosie Cotton in the deck, you don't really need Halfling Determination. |

Sep 23, 2017The current Hobbit build I run with these three uses the side quest The Storm Comes. If you can finish it early it really ramps the power of this build. |
Sep 24, 2017All interesting suggestions. Indeed, Halfling Determination seems like the first card to cut here. As for Timely Aid, I don't know how reliable it is considering you can only reliably profit from the secrecy discount in the first round, and considering that I'm running Elf-stone, it could be overkill. I think I'd rather run one or the other. As for Storm Comes, it's a tantalizing proposition. Don't know if I would run it x3, but I'll slot one in and see how it goes. That is, when I finally get my copy of Mountain of Fire! |
I'd add the Halbarad ally. His passive ability rocks with this lineup.
