This deck is constructed for one sole purpose: Slaughtering Orcs--effectively and efficiently. A dangerous journey through the mines of Moria becomes a casual stroll with the powers of Dáin Ironfoot and Dwalin. An eight-round game of The Seventh Level where I encountered two Doomed 4 cards resulted in ending the game with my starting threat of 29. Glóin handles the questing every round combined with a powerful ally in Longbeard Elder, leaving the defense to the almighty Dáin Ironfoot and the attacking to Dwalin, oftentimes accompanied with the help of Son of Arnor, useful for getting Globin Archers out of the staging area. And if enemies begin to stack up, a powerful play of Lure of Moria gives virtually all of your characters another chance to clear enemies from engagement. The deck is played ideally in tandem with the Tactics/Lore deck of a partner.
