AL-BLC 5

  • I made this deck to revive a lost hero, for fun, because after all this years i now have in mind to build decks that are somehow strange. :)

  • Therefore i had Rossiel in my head. Also, since Beravor finally came back with the Dale decks, i took her as well. And since i had two ladies i wanted to make an "angry ladies" deck. :) I choose Arwen because i needed spirit (also Eowyn with have been a great choice, maybe with the same result).

  • And then i saw my two favorite lotr lcg players on youtube, Ryan and Joseph "struggling" a little bit with Lost in Mirkwood, so that was my quest. This deck is made only for that quest, i haven't tried it on anything else, but i got 7 wins out of 7 games, so i guess it works perfect.

  • As for the deck, i don't think is something special to explain about it. It works arround Rossiel's abilities, 5 event card types (and one side quest) are for her: Keen as Lances, Leave No Trace, None Return, Out of the Wild and Scout Ahead. Also, mostly all of the attachments go on her, besides Elf-friend which i is for Beravor and Song of Wisdom which is for Arwen Undómiel. Of course, once you have one, i don't think you need the other, but i will get back on it later.

  • Allies, for this particular quest, are separated into two main purposes: attack and quest. While the Ethir Swordsman and Dunedain Pathfinder, also Ghân-buri-Ghân are for questing, Firyal is for having a management for the next encounter card, Warden of Healing is...of course for what and the ents are there for attack power. In this quest you also have Haldan as an objective-ally so maybe there is too much attack power.

  • There are also useless cards here, but it works very well with those. For example Gléowine...you don't need that much card draw since Beravor and Elven-light results in an entire deck drawn in 10-11 rounds (also Heed the Dream) Elf-friend is also useless. You can put 3 copies of Song of Wisdom and it's the same thing, so...

  • Those Wandering Ent's i've not been using that much, maybe it's a better ideea to put 3 copies of Cloak of Lórien, since you need it for Rossiel and maybe you'll finish the game much faster and not turtle like i do. So practically you can add more copies of a card that is there by removing some cards at all. And this is it. :)

Cool list! Rossiel is a personal favorite of mine, glad to see her getting some play. I also feel like Spirit/Lore is a less popular 2 sphere pair, so seeing more of that is also welcome.

One note, I think you are too hard on Elf-friend. It isn't strictly worse than Song of Wisdom in this list because it lets you put Light of Valinor and the other Noldor/Silvan attachments on Beravor, so that's actually quite nice. I guess in a weird corner case you could also give it to Rossiel to make her Noldor in addition to being Silvan, but that is waaaay less relevant.
