This is an odd and unrefined deck. The idea is to use a ton of card drawing events along with Legacy of Númenor to be able to buy a ton of Outlands allies using Elrond. This deck often gets its threat into the high 40s after turn 1. Then, Helm of Secrecy can turn Saruman into Aragorn, resetting your threat. While Denethor, Hirluin the Fair, and Erestor might be a better line-up, I think this deck is more fun and has the potential to be better. All the doomed cards allow Saruman and (MotK) Gléowine to easily trigger Peace, and Thought. By turn two, you can easily put 4-6 Outlands allies into play, while buying Helm of Secrecy. I mostly posted this deck as I want others' thoughts. I think using Song of Kings may be better than Saruman. I am sure there are optimizations that can be made.

Sep 28, 2022While I have tested the deck much, Saruman has already turned into Aragorn by turn 2 or 3 so Saruman's Staff is pointless. A Burning Brand might be nice but this is more of a combo than practical deck. Protector of Lórien is also a good idea but the point is to see how fast an Outlands board can be assembled. |
Sep 28, 2022i wonder, if Errand-rider can speed it up? playing 1 1. turn replaces his cost (means elrond get res back from other hero) and gives additional elrond-res next round. with 2 it will b even more, specially when Legacy of Númenor is around, could be helpful to shift res to elrond. can imagine a copy of Defiant Challenge can help in the first rounds. (choosin (MotK) Gléowine its an additional card) and it has sarumans picture. finding it if needed should be easy with the The Seeing-stone |

I like the idea! what is the point of a good harvest tho? what are you using it for? I would replace it with Far-sighted since its a great doomed event for Saruman and can be critical in multiplayer too. also, where is Saruman's Staff?? add that and a couple more doomed events and you have a way more aggro deck. I know the point is outlands, and not doomed, but why not have both?
also I know you're pressed for deck space but a burning brand is kind of important too to turn Elrond into a solid defender. Protector of Lórien could be another option with all the card draw. again, I don't think these are necessary, since the outlands allies should be more than enough, but they could be nice.
