Attach Firefoot, Dark Knowledge and Vigilant Guard to Éomer and Boots from Erebor to Pippin.

  • Play one (or more) chump blocker(s) each round
  • Send Pippin and Prince Imrahil to quest
  • Engage an enemy and draw a card, if it has a higher engagement cost than your threat
  • Exhaust Dark Knowledge to look at the shadow card of the enemy
  • Defend with an ally
  • If he dies, Éomer gains 2 attack, Prince Imrahil readies (and you can draw cards with Valiant Sacrifice)
  • If you don‘t want that ally to die, take the combat damage on Éomer equipped with Vigilant Guard and heal him with Ioreth afterwards
  • Fight back with Éomer and Firefoot (and Prince Imrahil if readied)

Citadel Plate or just including a defensive ally like Defender of Rammas would be better than Vigilant Guard. Otherwise, you have a cool idea, though I doubt its power.

@NERD Thanks! The idea is, that with Vigilant Guard you can prevent a direct damage shadow effect which would result in an undefended attack otherwise. The deck was very effective against "Storm on Coba`s Haven".

its a bit swarmy would add Faramir. it lacks additional ressourses would add Captain's Wisdom and Wealth of Gondor and perhaps Legacy of Númenor (can understand you want tp play without Steward of Gondor )

and autoinclude with Gandalf and ld is Sneak Attack then you will have a litle bit of power ;)
