Basic idea is to buy time to build up an Ent army by starting with modest , taking early attacks undefended, and accelerating Ents into play with Last Alliance.

Mulligan for Song of Travel or Treebeard.

Nob is the main draw engine, and provides some resource acceleration to drop Ent Draught and Spare Pipes on Barliman Butterbur as quickly as possible to boost up his , allowing him to absorb attacks and draw more cards. Heal with some combination of Pint, Half-pint, and even Wellinghall Preserver by exhausting the contract.

Aim to get out a Bree-land Protector as soon as possible to help with nasty shadow effects. Note that Treebeard, when targeted by the contract, can play Scheming Staddler and Bree-land Protector by himself without Song of Travel in play (so long as all the resources come from Treebeard's resource pool).

Extra Ent Draughts usually go on Derndingle Warrior or Quickbeam, though it's flexible.

Resource acceleration via the contract, Nob (+ Miruvor), and Bilbo's Spoons if you get them out (3 resources: Nob -> Barliman -> Quickbeam).

Note: There are very few Bree characters in the card pool to satisfy The Last Alliance's deck-building constraints, hence the awkward addition of , which does provide nice access to shadow cancellation and more .

pint-drinking ents, funny ^^

i think you do not really need spirit, would replace spiritcards with Protector of Lórien Song of Healing, perhaps Love of Tales and Bree Pony

you might need the spiritallies to fulfill the contract, but you do not have to play them and can discard with runes or folowing my suggestions with protector or song of healing.

i am not sure if Treebeard can pay for spiritallies if you have no spirit (using contract)

@doomguard I do need the spirit allies for the contract. I could simply discard them, but that doesn't seem like much fun! And Spare Pipe is just very good with Barliman Butterbur and Derndingle Warrior. I don't think Protector of Lórien is useful, as I never defend. Could boost , of course. I'd love to run Harry Goatleaf to dispense with the songs, but I'd have to sub out Barliman and his card draw... though might be worth it. Could then play A Stout Heart.

It's an interesting rules question on Treebeard. However, the FAQ for Radagast states, "Radagast’s ability breaks the need for a resource match if the resources are coming only from his pool." The same applies to Treebeard when paying for Ent characters entirely from his pool. If the Contract changes Ents to "Ents and Bree" characters, then Treebeard can pay for Scheming Staddler and Bree-land Protector with Song of Travel in play.

i know that you need them for the 10-bree-allys, thats why i wrote you do not have to PLAY them ;)

the fun-aspect i cannot argue against ;) but i would think, get more ents out instead of spirit-bree-allies would be more effective.
