Gauze 81

Gauze has a newer deck inspired by this one: A red day 'ere the sun rises!

I've put this deck together inspired by emorlecallor's deck Tactics Eowyn Rampant so, thanks! I loved the heroes line-up and I hoped to recreate the feel of the fight of the armies of Rohan in the Pelennor fields.

So far it has managed to beat the three quests of the core, although Escape from Dol Guldur required three attempts and getting a stroke of luck when faced with the decision whether or not to engage enemies. Of course, Merry needs to be the prisoner.

Théoden grants an extra willpower to all your heroes, which alleviates questing. The deck is highly dependent on drawing either a Song of Travel together with a mount - even better if it is Snowmane - or Legolas as early as possible, so mulligan for these cards.

Although you won't play more than one ally in most of the rounds, you could also use the Envoy of Pelargir and the Soldier of Dol Amroth to smooth resources and as your chump-blockers.

Legolas is your main source of card draw. Once equipped with the Bow of the Galadhrim you'll be able to trigger Foe-hammer. The Elven Spear will add to his battle power and make good use of your duplicates or cards you won't be playing.

Al in all, I believe it's been quite a fun deck to play, so I hope you'll use it, tweak it and enjoy your quests!

This was a super fun deck to play! I've wanted to build this hero lineup for a while now. How are you playing Elven Spear? It can only go on Silvan or Noldor heroes.

Thanks for t'he comment Wulf_Den! You're right, Elven Spear can't be played on ally Legolas, I should have read the card more carefully... Maybe Warrior Sword could be a fine replacement for attack, or Raiment of War to protect defenders of Rammas... Glad you've had fun!

@Gauze note that Foe-hammer can't be used with Legolas, either. He's definitely a 3x card - perhaps you can give the weapons to Theoden or Merry and plan on getting double-duty out of one or both. To get some card draw going, you could try adding Support of the Eagles and some Eagle cards.

Right again! Too used to Legolas hero, I guess... In the new version I've swapped the spear for War Axe to solve the problem. It can go on Merry or Théoden. Thanks for the heads up!
