I've put this deck together inspired by emorlecallor's deck Tactics Eowyn Rampant. So thanks! I loved the heroes line-up and I hoped to recreate the feel of the fight of the armies of Rohan in the Pelennor fields.
So far it has managed to beat the three quests of the core, although Escape from Dol Guldur required three attempts and getting a stroke of luck when faced with the decision whether or not to engage enemies. Of course, Merry needs to be the prisoner.
Théoden grants an extra willpower to all your heroes, which alleviates questing. The deck is highly dependent on drawing either a Song of Travel together with a mount - even better if it is Snowmane - or Legolas as early as possible, so mulligan for these cards.
Although you won't play more than one ally in most of the rounds, you could also use the Envoy of Pelargir and the Soldier of Dol Amroth to smooth resources and as your chump-blockers.
Legolas is your main source of card draw. Once equipped with the Bow of the Galadhrim you'll be able to trigger Foe-hammer. To correct the issue with Elven Spear from the previous versión of the deck, I've included War Axe. It will increase his battle prowess so that, together with the bow, he will attack for 6. The cards in the sideboard are alternatives to attacking, defending and readying, which I feel would make good additions to the deck.
Don't look down on Merry as an attacker! He'll only contribuye with 1, but his ability to ready a fellow attacker is of great use.
Al in all, I believe it's been quite a fun deck to play, so I hope you'll use it, tweak it and enjoy your quests!

Sep 06, 2024Master Ironsmith combo with Herugrim sounds very exciting indeed! Thanks for the insight! |
in monotactic the Master Ironsmith makes sense special if you can include Herugrim that you cant normally in monotactic. so my modifications wold be:
in:
more weapons are good to get Foe-hammer more safely
out:
should be at least 4 cards up to 8 if following my suggestions. would choose:
that would be 4-5 cards i personally not a friend of Arod
that woud be 7 cards i would replace
