First real try at a serious Ent deck. Had several different line ups and wanted my best to keep the allies mainly Ents; other decks with a myriad of allies exist in my collection, but I wanted a full Ent utopia.
The reason to build this was this thread on Reddit.
This deck is capable of dealing with issues at the start of the game, as well as mounting a good board for late game. Threat is obviously an issue; both wins on Anduin and Hunt for Gollum ended up with me at Mordor's doors, at or about 49 threat.
Directions:
- Turn 1 Treebeard is great, thanks to Gríma's ability;
- You start at 29 threat, so you have one turn to prepare for the Hill Troll;
- Éowyn's ability in conjunction with a 2 helper one-shots the aforementioned Hill Troll;
- You want to go looking for Narya as soon as possible.
The card I used the least was Boomed and Trumpeted, followed somewhat closely by Expert Treasure-hunter. Cards are overall expensive, so you're not exhausting your hand that quickly to need so much card draw. Might become something else if I decide to give this another go.
Got wins on the first three Nightmare quests (outside of Escape from Dol Guldur), with only Anduin requiring multiple tries: two in total.
Anyway, was a fun challenge. Let's hope the OP likes the deck!
Also, let's be honest, the name is great.
