Warden of Arnor 5911
"Elladan and Elrohir were out upon errantry: for they rode often far afield with the Rangers of the North"
It seemed natural to pair the twin sons of Elrond with the Dunedain, not least because Elrohir can use his multiple defences to hold off the enemies you're using to power up your Dunedain. Amarthiúl is a perfect candidate for the Dunedain hero since he becomes effectively a double sphere hero with extra resource generation, thus able to pay for cards of both and and let the twins save their resources for their abilities. You also save resources by using Heir of Valandil to drop the costs of your allies of course. The challenge with this deck is getting fully set up. Once you're set, with Elrohir having a pile of resources, 5 and A Burning Brand basically nothing can touch you. To that end, mulligan for Steward of Gondor to get multiple defences, engage enemies, let Elrohir do his thing. Be sure to play Song of Wisdom on Elrohir before you play Galadriel, because you don't want to be stuck looking at a copy of A Burning Brand which you can't attach. Note that Galadriel can also bring out Forest Snares before you have the Song and thus shortcut the process, so long as you have an eligible enemy. Sneak Attack should be used with Gandalf (obviously) and Sarn Ford Sentry for card draw. Bear in mind that you don't necessarily need your attack power early on since you want to keep at least a couple of enemies engaged at all times. The sideboard is of course for if you want to give the twins Ranged and Sentinel. Once your Dunedain allies are powered up this may well be superfluous, unless you're especially worried about shadow effects on enemies engaged with other players, in which case a Sentinel Elrohir with a Brand is obviously what you want.
Paired up with a decent questing deck I took this successfully through The Dread Realm and Ruins of Belegost, and like I said, once I got everything set up I was basically untouchable.
