A thematic-ish Aragorn & Twins deck made to tackle The Redhorn Gate (double-handed solo). This quest is about escorting Arwen across the mountains back to Rivendell (possibly her journey back from Lorien in approx. the game's time period?)
This deck was mainly here to fight off the Goblins, Wargs and Trolls patrolling the mountain path.
Elladan and Elrohir need little introduction really. They can attack and defend strongly from the start, and once you have got a DĂșnedain Warning and Rivendell Blade attached they really go to town.
Sword that was Broken and DĂșnedain Quest help keep the Willpower up against a quest which likes to reduce it. Faramir can also save you from a pinch.
The allies are mainly combat focussed - but be aware you will lose many of them instantly as you move to quest stage 3B. Weather Hills Watchman helps get out the Signal attachments, while Erestor is thematic and helps with card draw a bit.
Tireless Hunters helps keep the questing deck safe from unexpected encounters, and Feint or Hold Your Ground! on Aragorn helps you deal with multiple enemies if needed. Foe-hammer provides card draw.
Finally, why Shadow of the Past? Well, you need Victory Points to win, and though Caradhras is mandatory, if both Celebdil and Fanuidhol get discarded as shadow cards, you are in for a long cold night waiting for them to come back around! Shadow of the Past helps mitigate this by restoring them to the encounter deck immediately.
