Used to solo Mirkwood-cycle adventure packs requiring a heavy questing deck to simply push through quest stages ASAP. This version is for "Return to Mirkwood", with leadership/tactics as the second-hand because it is not a soloable quest (I made an Eagle deck with Logolas, which turned out to be great fun). Uses core set and mirkwood-cycle cards only.
Strategy:
A good opening hand should have cheap willpower allies (especially West Road Traveller), card draw, and A Test of Will as certain treacheries will wreck you and Eleanor will sometimes just replace the treachery with something worse (though she is FAR better than nothing). Spam willpower allies to build questing power, and use Beravor's ability every turn if possible.
In the late game, Forest Snare will probably be needed to survive multiple Hill Trolls and other nonsense.
Song of Travel is actually more important than Song of Wisdom because there aren't all that many lore cards in the deck, and you may not be able to spend Beravor's resources without it.
Previous quests:
Hills of the Emyn Muil: Replace Escort from Edoras and Westfold Horse-Breaker with Northern Tracker and Lórien Guide. Doesn't really even need lore, so you can replace Beravor with Dúnhere as an attacker. Watch locations evaporate.
The Dead Marshes: Few/no changes. Getting Unexpected Courage on Éowyn is really the easiest way to win, but it has enough cheap questing allies to push through otherwise.
A Journey to Rhosgobel: Many changes are needed to heal and control the encounter deck. Denethor and Lore of Imladris for a start.
