jvader 135

jvader has a newer deck inspired by this one: Grimbeorn the fighter 2.0

This deck is made to have Grimbeorn defending/attacking every turn. Theodred will make up for the lost resources and faramir will ready strong allies in play. heir of mardil goes on faramir. orcrist goes on Grimbeorn. Any ideas are welcome

You could consider some Armored Destrier

Agreed. The Destrier on Grimbeorn is amazing. Off the top of my head, I'd say it's a strict improvement over Redwater Sentry, assuming someone at the table has healing for you.

The Day's Rising is another good attachment for him. Pays for itself quickly, and (once the Destrier is attached) means that you can reliably trigger his ability twice per round. Captain of Gondor also works really well, since you'll be engaging enemies as often as possible.

Halbarad seems questionable in this deck. Most of the time, you should be killing enemies the round they engage you, or at worst a turn later. So he'll rarely cost less than 3 and will typically be full price. Given that, Treebeard is a much strong ally. Angbor gets you the same quest for half the cost, and a nice late game bonus.

I would include Dunedain Warning and Dunedain Mark to make Grimbeorn an even better attacker defender. If you can prioritize making him an ultra defender/ attacker, he will crush anything he encounters without much aid from allies. At 30 threat, hobbit archer and Rosie Cotton aren't that strong.

Why would you use "we are not idle" in this deck?

Dec 07, 2020 Alonewolf87 1922

It's a deck thinner, it basically makes the deck 47 cards.

We Are Not Idle can be used just as card draw. You don't have to exhaust any dwarves.

Thanks!
