Truck 1409

With the release of The Children of Eorl I made an upgraded Rohan deck. Honestly, the poor horse-breeders deserve it. Herubrand is probably not the best choice for a hero, but I wanted Rohan and he is infinitely better than Háma.

The gameplan varies, but it basically is get Snowmane and Herugrim on to Herubrand for a mass-murder effect and you should get Golden Shield on Thengel, and maybe also Silver Circlet. When Thengel is questing Deeping Defender can defend. Gamling is there for emergencies.

This deck is basically just "Yay, Children of Eorl is out!" and it can be way better, I would appreciate suggestions very much.

Post-publication note: I tried this against all three ALeP scenarios, and I made it through all three. This deck is very efficient, and works as expected.

Another idea would be swapping Gamling for Théoden. The starting threat would be 31 then, but the allies would be cheaper, and that could help.

Theoden would certainly help with resource acceleration. Another idea is Tactics Eomer as there could and should be lots of discarding going on with Thengel. Perhaps add another UC for Thengel or give him Snowmane. He should get full use of those amazing but lopsided stats. Maybe add another Grimbold too?

@Uruk-guy Éomer and more copies of UC would work very well, but I only have one core, and I don't have The Voice of Isengard. As for Snowmane on Thengel, I think that it could be more powerful on Herubrand as he is the only decent attacker with Herugrim, with his full potential he has 7, and that even isn't that great, and he is obviously meant to be a quester. I should have added Horn of the Mark, that would work very well with all the characters leaving play.

@Truckwoops! I keep forgetting about your single core, sorry about that. And yes I'm inclined to agree with you about Snowmane. I forgot about Herbrand's first ability.

I am not sure how you would be able to play Steward of Gondor with this deck. While you have Need Brooks no Delay, the card specifically states you play the card you retrieved as though you played it from your hand, which means it needs a resource match on one of the heroes.

Oh, nevermind. You specifically have the Song of Kings in the deck, which seems a bit of a waste.
