If you're wondering what that random group of numbers up there is, it happens to be the number of allies I got out first turn over the course of 79 games. The average number is 7.29 allies. That means, when playing this deck, you are likely to get SEVEN allies into play first turn, all of which are Gondorian and can benefit from stat buffs like Visionary Leadership and Boromir. After the first turn, the deck slows down a bit and just plays the four cards it gets each round from Erestor, but the first round, when you see ten cards, is EPIC. You want to mulligan for A Very Good Tale, because with 26 allies in the deck you will always draw at least 2. You will then play down the two allies, then use the Tale to get more, possibly reducing the cost of a Citadel Custodian in your hand down to 0 which means that you now can play Tome of Atanatar and not worry that your second Tale will have allies that are too expensive at which point you can get more allies into play and it just keeps going. Here are some tips for effectively running the deck:

-All allies are cost 2, so playing them can be tricky first turn. You want to either use a Herald of AnĂ³rien to put them into play for free or use an Errand-rider or Pelargir Ship Captain to transfer a resource from one of your heroes.

-Try to play your Citadel Custodians for free when possible. They are very good for free because they can start a Tale chain while costing you literally nothing. If you have both the Custodian and the Tale in hand, but the Custodian isn't free yet, use the Tale to get out more allies so that your Custodian will become free later.

-If you have multiple Lore allies in hand but only enough resources for one or two of them, prioritize Warden of Healing. Then try to play down Mablung or an Ithilien Tracker.

-If you have three copies of Captain's Wisdom in hand, it is safe to discard the third to Daeron's Runes because you only have two noble heroes.

-Visionary Leadership should be priority number one if it is in your hand. That card is bonkers on Boromir, especially once he gets Steward and has a pile of cash.

-Don't be afraid to give resources to other players with Errand-rider, especially since you're using Steward.

Enjoy the deck!

I've been running a deck similar to this since Erestor came out. It can quest like nobody's business! I can't decide if I need the resources and low threat or use Aragorn with Sword that was Broken and Celebrian Stone to open up Spirit (mostly recycling discard pile). Erestor is just what the Gondor swarm needed. Nice deck!

@finbarfen Thank you! I agree that taking Aragorn out of a Gondor deck can be hard, but Denethor's resource boost in the early game can be SO good to get a deck rolling, and his ability to give a resource to Boromir as needed can help keep the global buffs intact.
