Warden of Arnor 5910

This deck is here to do a magic trick: It gathers a load of the most powerful figures in Middle Earth, and then makes them disappear. Now you see them, now you don't. Or maybe you do, but Sauron doesn't at least.

The primary reason for this deck to exist is shenanigans. That being said, it's also pretty powerful because of the Gandalf/Wizard Pipe/Elrond/Vilya combo. Add in even more ally-mustering with Vanish from Sight/Timely Aid, and by the end of the game the fact that Gandalf and Elrond both quest without exhausting and have two actions each is completely irrelevant because your allies can do everything.

There's a lot of scope for tweaking, hence the sizeable sideboard which probably still doesn't cover all the good options. Alter it how you will. Being a little oversized isn't such a big issue because it runs through itself at a decent rate.

0_0 ....does Vanish from Sight + O Elbereth! Gilthonial! = massive threat reduction or has that been squashed?

eg. Your threat = 49. You're engage with a 25 threat enemy. It attacks and once resolved you play Vanish from Sight then O Elbereth! Gilthonial! and end up at 25 threat? Ridiculously good combo if legit.

It was confirmed as legit. It's still a bit limited, because you have to be playing a 2-hero deck. Unless you're screwing around with doom cards or something, you probably aren't going to have enormous threat.

That being said, it's still obviously really good. You get to kill an enemy for free and drop a ton of threat, all for the cost of 2 cards and no resources!

I was about to publish an deck very similar to this one and you beat me to it! Nicely done!

This is a wonderful deck. It is amusing to me just how powerful Keen As Lances becomes when you use Wizard Pipe/Vilya to play it for free. Certainly one of the most unorthodox forms of resource acceleration. It feels wrong to have Shadowfax relegated to the sideboard, but that is just a nitpick from someone who plays mostly multiplayer.
