The Defenders of Gondor Starter Deck with a few changes.
- Swapped out Prince Imrahil for Prince Imrahil.
- Swapped out Mablung for Denethor.
I also played with the ally and attachment lists a little bit to increase utility options. Examples:
- Reduced the number of Squire of the Citadel fodder for a few Knights of the White Tower (affordable with Steward of Gondor and/or Prince Imrahil's ability) and Ingold.
- Added the Rod of the Steward to synergize with Steward of Gondor to increase card draw.
- Added Armored Destrier so that Denethor can defend multiple times per turn (pair with Gondorian Shield for a 5 defender twice per combat phase).
- Added Favor of the Valar to add a threat buffer as this deck likes to play in the 40+ threat range.
I often found with the original decklist I was swimming with resources I didn't need from Steward of Gondor, so this aims to address that by providing multiple ways to move or spend those extra resources.
This is primarily meant to be paired with a questing deck, which is why willpower has been de-emphasized (although not ignored).
