This deck has been probably my most fun project to fine tune and develop since I got into the game. I have @Authraw and @WingfootRanger to thank in particular for their invaluable feedback. I am fairly certain that the deck is in its final form beyond personal preferences, but if you feel there's something I missed, please tell me so I can give it a try.
The aim of the deck is pretty simple: use Vilya and To the Sea, to the Sea! discard your deck as quickly as possible to put super strong (and normally expensive) allies into play quickly and cheaply (sometimes free!). Your board state ramps up very quickly once you have some heavy hitters in play, and if you somehow cycle through your whole deck, Will of the West brings it all back for another round.
I have found the deck functions fine on its own and also as more of a support quest deck if you'd like to take it into multiplayer with some friends. I think that does it for me is that not only is the deck thematic, but also very powerful. It's a pretty cool rush to drop such strong allies into play so early on in the game.
If you build the deck and play it, please take the time to let me know how it goes for you! Good luck!

Jan 22, 2017How positively delightful! Why did I forget that Galadriel was Noldor too? |

Jan 22, 2017@Seastan makes a good point about paying full price from Elrond, but it does seem like an expensive option - especially because you can't To the Sea, to the Sea! to help pay for Galadriel if that is what you want her to go fetch. You have Master of the Forge and Imladris Stargazer, not to mention Vilya to avoid paying costs. Do you find that you actually need Galadriel to get your key attachments in play? With two copies, she might not do much anything if you draw her later and you already have your Vilya and To the Sea, to the Sea in play. I suppose that she lets you stack your deck, but you have plenty of card draw and Imladris Stargazer already does that. I suppose the 3 willpower is nice too, but she seems like the one awkward fit in this deck. Personally I would probably just replace her with either Sailor of Lune (for treachery-heavy quests), Harbor Master for more attack, or Elven Jeweler (as another cheap body). In any case, I really like the overall design. In particular, I feel like Galdor of the Havens is an excellent choice for decks with a critical need for certain cards in the opening hand. Once you get Vilya and To the Sea, to the Sea! in play, this deck runs like a charm. |

May 07, 2017Ahhh it's because it's not legal to combine Elronds ability and 'To the Sea, To the Sea!'? Thought the whole morning about that.. |

I like this deck, but I am curious about Galadriel's inclusion. Since you will never be able to play her from your hand (only "put her into play" with Vilya), you will never be able to trigger her response. In that case, she seems like kind of a waste for an ally that leaves play at the end of the round.
