Two thematic decks that are actually pretty reliable.
Two ways to deal with the Hide mechanic introduced in this one. First, you can keep enough questers back to have a decent shot at successfully hiding. Or two, don't overly worry about hiding and have enough chump blockers to deal with being spotted. I chose the second method and it made my games much easier.
Merry Use him to quest almost exclusively. When this deck is player 1 and has Frodo Baggins that puts Merry's attack at +3. Get Barliman Butterbur and/or Farmer Maggot on the board and that makes Merry's attack value worth possibly keeping him back from questing. Otherwise quest, quest, quest.
Pippin Quest with Pip as well. Pippin's ability comes in handy when dealing with Black Riders and certain treachery cards.
Aragorn Hold Aragorn back during the quest phase. Use him as an emergency blocker and for hide checks.
Frodo Baggins plus The One Ring is your break glass in case of emergency combo. Don't over use it as Frodo's resources can do other very important things besides exhausting The One Ring.
Mulligan for a weapon, Feint, and/or cheap allies. Weapons go to Glorfindel
Avoid completing the first quest stage during the first round as you will want some allies on the board.
Grind out the second stage and keep in mind that in order to complete stage three you'll have to successfully pull off a hide 3 check to travel to Buckleberry Ferry. Ideally the first player would be playing Deck 1 when that occurs because it has more questing power.
