Power up Dúnhere and take care of enemies in staging. A Light in the Dark makes sure they stay there, while Quick Strike can sometimes allow Dúnhere to get rid of enemies after the staging step, but before resolving questing. Thalin softens up enemies, so Dúnhere can take care them with less trouble.

Dec 17, 2023The Dwarven Axe are actually an extra power boost for Dúnhere and not Thalin. I'd like to kill the trolls in two turns, or at least get them in range of Gondorian Spearman. Celebrían's Stone is an option, but I don't need to quest very hard with this deck as it should be paired with a questing deck. And while Steward of Gondor is definitely more reliable than Horn of Gondor, I do not have a reliable way to get my Song of Kings into my hand, meaning the Steward might be stuck in my hand. Still, you have a point. |
Dec 17, 2023Ah did not realise this was meant for multiplayer, in that case yes probably better to leave Steward of Gondor to someone else. If you can, have one of the players in the fellowship use Rivendell Minstrel to grab a song of kings from their deck and attach it to one of your heroes if Dúnedain Mark gets locked up in your hand. |
Personally i would consider exchanging Dwarven Axe & Horn of Gondor with Celebrían's Stone and Steward of Gondor respectively. Dúnhere is already set to be the main attacker so powering up Thalin with extra damage is likely not needed, conversely since you already have 3x Song of Kings it is easy enough to slot in the willpower boost from the stone for Thalin and SoG is more reliable than HoG.
