Mormegil 5393
This deck is part of Mormegil’s Deckbox, an effort to create an extensive catalogue of decks for the different archetypes, themes and playing styles available to players. Click here to check out the whole project.
Preferred Player Count: 1-2, (3-4)
Rating: .5
Premise
This is a very powerful Dwarf deck that is probably best suited to lower player counts due to its extremely high starting threat. In 2-player-games, it is even my preferred Dwarf deck! Bond of Friendship allows for an amazing start with 4 heroes and as many resources of course so getting stats on the table will seldom be an issue, what can be a bit more tricky though is staying on the table. This deck can absolutely crush a lot of quests with its insane start but can struggle against quests that punish your for threat or have a lot of enemies to start with (since they will usually engage you early).
How To Play
I like to see a Legacy of Númenor or The Seeing-stone to start with often (but not always, depending on the quest) but aside from that, the deck usually plays itself.
Considerations
In multiplayer, Blue Mountain Trader should likely be included. Steward of Gondor is not needed but helps of course (again, especially in mulitplayer) while Warden of Healing and Helm of Secrecy are more sideboard cards than can be included as tech for specific quests.
