Taking @doomguard's advice on my original version, I've subbed hero Beorn for Grimbeorn the Old, allowing Steward of Gondor and Beorn's Welcome to go on Grimbeorn and adding ally Beorn to the main deck, which is quite handy for taking down bosses. Other than that, the deck runs similarly to its predecessor.
I took this deck successfully solo through the entire Wilds of Rhovanion and Ered Mithrin cycle. I had some trouble with threating out in The Withered Heath, but adjusting the ratio of Favor of the Valar and Keen as Lances allowed a win on about the third or fourth try. As expected, Fire in the Night also required some tweaks and a few play-throughs, as did the Fate of Wilderland. However, with the right balance of cards from the sideboard (generally rebalancing deck speed vs. threat increase) this deck was able to beat them all within three attempts.
For truly difficult quests, of course, The One Ring and the appropriate Master starting attachment should allow this deck to go through most challenges.
