This deck is excellent at dealing with enemies. Many of the cards (Amarthiúl, Halbarad, Fornost Bowman, Guardian of Arnor, Sarn Ford Sentry) like to have multiple enemies engaged with you while still maintaining control with traps and cards like Feint.
In the early turns, you want to lay traps strategically to have the number of enemies you can handle engaged with you while lowering their ability to damage your characters (Forest Snare, Entangling Nets). This will give you value while lowering the overall threat level in the staging area.
Now, this deck does suffer in the questing department. If you are soloing, you have to get Emyn Arnen Ranger and a good enemy in a trap (maybe even replace Gandalf with East Road Ranger if you are playing through sets with side quests). If you are playing with others, just make sure one person is really good at questing, and you take a few more of the enemies (Halbarad allows you to engage one additional enemy per turn).
Amarthiúl tends to act both offensively and defensively. Getting Warrior Sword attached to him really helps boost his potential.
Enjoy!
