It's been forever since I posted a deck, and I am glad now to return and post the last deck I was working on. I know almost everyone has posted their own version of Outlands and it is always the same plan: drop allies, make them all huge, win. Simple enough game plan. I tried in this deck to turn the how of that process into something I hadn't seen done before.
The key card in this deck, funnily enough, is Mirror of Galadriel. While other Outlands deck want a bunch of card draw to power out allies fast, this deck instead focuses on picking exactly which Outlands ally, attachment, or other key card that you need for your specific situation. Galadriel herself offers the ability to reduce your threat, allow your allies to quest aggressively the turn they enter play, and provides quest power and the Lore icon once she gets Nenya.
For my third hero, I opted for the king of Gondor himself. This is actually the first deck in which I have used Ring of Barahir and found it fun. Aragorn in this deck is very much a generalist, providing extra quest power and serving as a solid damage soaker once he gets all the artifacts of his lineage. His ability to pay for three of the four spheres once he gets all his toys cannot be overstated.
Overall I'm very happy with the deck, but the eyes of others always see things I don't. Please let me know in the comments if you see a way to improve the deck. This is my first try at Outlands and I would gladly take any offered advice. Thanks!!
Nice to see a deck after not posting in awhile! Did you consider Silver Harp? I just like how it helps negate the penalty of Mirror of Galadriel. Based on the fact you have Men of the West, it might not be necessary.
