Grandson of Gror 1

This is my favorite combat deck. The reasons:

  1. It has Dori in it, and he is a decent fellow. Also, I did not understand why anyone would want him in a deck until I made this one. With a few attachments, he can make Grimbeorn the Old strong enough to defend against the Balrog, or defend for himself with some armor against lesser enemies.

  2. I love playing Hour of Wrath. With Aragorn and Grimbeorn powered up, this deck can clear the table of enemies in a hurry.

A caveat: this deck cannot quest. At all.

If you want to make the deck more thematic for Ered Mithrin and just use dwarves and Beornings, Gimli is almost as good as Aragorn. He is just missing the ability to engage everything during the Hour of Wrath. Although I have a scenario in mind where Dori came to the Council of Elrond instead of Gloin and Gimli (and dragged Grimbeorn with him) and they join up with Aragorn to maraud through Moria, Helm's Deep, etc.
