Introduction

I built this deck to take advantage of Legolas's versatility in scenarios that either allow for extensive side-quest play, or allow for progress on the main quest only through quest effects or encounter cards. Legolas's response is invaluable for continuing to build strength even when you're on the verge of location-lock. This deck plays pretty well in true solo.

Strategy

• Fetch Gather Information
• Mulligan for Rivendell Blade or some threat reducer. Envoy of Pelargir early is useful for indirectly moving resources to Legolas
• Never commit Legolas to quest. Attach 2 x Rivendell Blade and Arod to him. Attack as soon as you can manage the defense, attack first (Hands Upon the Bow), or prevent the enemy from attacking (Feint)
• Discard Elven-light thanks to Arwen Undómiel's action. Generally speaking, her action will allow her to enrich herself and easily pay the allies and A Test of Will
• With Gather Information, get what you need when this side-quest is defeated. This could be another side-quest
• Quest with Arwen Undómiel and Thurindir. Use Thalion to quest and defend, protecting him with one or two Honour Guard. Against big attacks you can't avoid, defend with Treebeard or chump-block with Envoy of Pelargir.

Adjustments

In scenarios where locations titles are often found in multiple copies, you can replace Scout Ahead with Explore Secret Ways. In scenarios where enemies are in the minority, replace 1 x Proud Hunters, and 2 x Foe-hammer with 3 x Wait no Longer.

If you're facing a scenario with a lot of "Immune to player cards effects" ennemies, switch Rivendell Blade for Blade of Gondolin or Bow of the Galadhrim (especially if you play in multiplayer).
