A multiplayer deck built around a fun little interaction:

  1. Optionally engage one enemy.
  2. Optionally engage a second enemy with Halbarad.
  3. Trigger Roheryn and attack the second enemy.
  4. Apply the carryover damage to the first enemy with Firefoot.
  5. Use Gondorian Fire to ensure both enemies get killed before they can attack.

5 minutes ago I heard about that Aragorn-Elfhelm-Roheryn-combo at cardboardoftherings Episode 104 tactics feint. Nice!

Nice idea ... how consistent is the deck? How does it fare before getting your combo running and by which turn (would you say) can it start to abuse the Roheryn/Firefoot/Fire synergy? I will try it out but the idea alone deserves the like :)

@The MormegilIt works pretty well. All you need is Roheryn and the deck is already functional, since with Elfhelm and Aragorn's ability he is able to kill a large number of enemies in one blow. With a single weapon or Dúnedain Mark he should be able to kill most enemies in the encounter deck.

Sometimes you can plan your optional engagements such that you engage a big enemy and then a small enemy, so that when you kill the weak enemy with Roheryn there is enough carryover damage from Firefoot to kill the second enemy even without Gondorian Fire.

So while the full combo has a lot of moving pieces, it's not like you're helpless until you get it all together.

I build a deck with the same combo a while ago: ringsdb.com

You don't get the extra attack from Elfhelm, but with Galdor of the Havens and Lore acces you get the combo pieces out faster.

But it's nice to see a different variant of the deck, especially the dual- instead of tri-sphere probably makes it easier to pay the cards ( I often have problems if I don't draw my Errand-riders.

I would probably prefer Campfire Tales over We Are Not Idle for a multiplayer deck. Also I think Mighty Prowess should be at least in the sideboard.

@RokaNice, I see that I even posted on that deck! I'm sure it ended up inspiring this one even though I didn't consciously remember it. I'll add your deck in the "derived from" section.

Looks like a bit of luck is needed to bring the combo together, but once you do: WOW!

There isn't an action window during optional engagements. Are you sure you’re able to use Gondorian Fire during the attack triggered by Roheryn? Is this possible because you’re performing an attack and you can normally perform actions during attacks?

To answer the question in my previous post, there are action windows between each step of an attack. It doesn't matter when that attack is declared.
