The idea from this deck sprouted from Seastan's 'Double Down' deck, but instead of using Halbarad and Firefoot to engage and destroy a couple of enemies at a time, this deck seeks to provide action advantage for all heroes by providing multiple readying effects via their trusty steeds. If you can't get your head around each hero having multiple mounts, just envisage each of them riding into battle on mighty war-chariots each led by a number of horses, raining (Gondorian) fire on their enemies (hence the name of the deck).

There are a number of ways to play this deck. The way I would play the attachments are as follows:

Aragorn: Blood of Númenor, Celebrían's Stone (restricted), Dúnedain Mark x 3, Gondorian Fire, Rohan Warhorse or Steed of the North (both restricted), Roheryn, Steed of the Mark, Steward of Gondor & Sword that was Broken.

Once all this is up-and-running, he will be able to quest for 6 (including a bonus from Elfhelm for wearing Celebrían's Stone), then ready using Steed of the Mark. During the encounter phase, he can optionally engage an enemy and immediately attack using Roheryn, ensuring a kill using Gondorian Fire, which should have enough fuel (excuse the pun) from Steward of Gondor. He can then ready for combat using Rohan Warhorse or trigger his own response to engage another enemy and ready using Steed of the North.

Note that with the Sword that was Broken attached, Aragorn can also ride an Armored Destrier but bear in mind that it is restricted, so if you want to use both Rohan Warhorse and Celebrían's Stone, it will need to be discarded.

Amarthiúl: Armored Destrier (restricted), Blood of Númenor, Gondorian Fire, Steed of the North & Vigilant Guard.

With a starting of 3 (4 with a mount attached), Amarthiúl is the natural defender in this group of heroes. In the later game though, it may be worth swapping the Armored Destrier for a Rohan Warhorse so that he can make multiple attacks, particularly once he has enough resources to make use of Gondorian Fire. Just remember that you will need to keep an enemy engaged with you into the planning phase so that he still has a icon to play Rohan Warhorse on him.

Interestingly, you could play Amarthiúl as your main attacker by attaching the Dúnedain Marks, Roheryn & Steward of Gondor on him instead of Aragorn. If you decide to do this, remember that you will not be able to attach Steed of the Mark to Aragorn as he will no longer have the Gondor trait, so he will definitely need Steed of the North to ready him after questing.

Elfhelm: Armored Destrier (restricted), Golden Shield (restricted), Steed of the Mark & Vigilant Guard.

You would need quite a bit of card draw to get all that on Aragorn.

Agreed...hence the allies and events. You would be surprised at how well it works before it is all set up though. I think that because it doesn't just focus on Aragorn, it is still a viable deck in the early game as the other heroes can chip in with combat too.
