Roka 1665
This deck is build around the new cards Followed and the Emyn Arnen Ranger. The goal is to get a high threat enemy engaged with you from the beginning.
The perfect starting hand includes Dúnedain Hunter, Followed and a Forest Snare. Play Followed, grab the enemy with the highest threat that you find and play the Forest Snare on it. This gives you a willpower boost from round one and makes Emyn Arnen Ranger and Interrogation effective.
Hero Selection: Damrod is an auto include for a trap deck. Galdor of the Havens is my favourite hero if i build around a certain combo and with Protector of Lórien you can use his second ability. The tactics hero was harder to find. I ended up including many Lore cards, so my tactics resources were useless. Song of Wisdom was another option, but i decided to go with Na'asiyah. She will not get many ressources, but triggering her ability every other round is enough with other combat tricks.
This is definitely not the deck for every quest because you have to find a high threat enemy early on. But if it works, it's a lot of fun to use the new cards to maximum benefit.

Apr 01, 2018Unfortunately, Damrod's reducing ability already targets Followed as it is a Trap, therefore leaving you with a Resource on Na'asiyah and making the Followed+Forest Snare impossible in the first turn. |
Have you considered Wait no Longer? It's not quite as nice as the Dúnedain Hunter, but still helps to get the needed enemy where you want it. Great idea all in all!
