Jelius 90

This is a deck centered around the synergy between Gimli and Haldir of Lórien. The goal is to avoid engaging enemies myself, defend the other player and attack with Haldir twice.

Sam can quest and occasionally defend.

I've been trying out different combinations to use Unlikely Friendship.

This duo is named for that moment when Gimli was boasting within earshot of Sylvan archers.

I have crafted this for the upcoming Con of the Rings, as we will be playing duos. I am eager for some feedback.

The Sideboard is really just a group of good cards that didn't make it in.

Nice deck and cool theme!

I guess your partner will be handling healing? Otherwise Lembas could work? Also, if it was me I'd add +1 Sneak Attack and +1 Gandalf to get that combo out more consistently (which in turn could help with threat and card draw).

Rivendell Blade + Song of Battle seems a bit janky. I'd consider dropping both and just adding more draw /search to help you find your Ranger Spear.

Master of the Forge seems perfect, and you also have room for more copys of Open the Armory or Heed the Dream.

If you do keep Song of Battle I'd add Bow of the Galadhrim in stead of the Ranger Spear (or in addition), as it helps more when attacking enemies engaged by the other player.
