Dori and Boromir

Continuing my line of Dori fellowships, I coupled him with the ultimate uber-combat superhero, Boromir. I also wanted to try out Idraen, so that meant I wanted Asfaloth. I decided to use Glorfindel because I hadn't used him before, and because Boromir needs a handicap.

This would be a more powerful fellowship if we substituted spirit Glorfindel, swapped Dori and Idraen, and then added Faramir or Damrod in place of Theodred. However, power isn't everything, and putting Boromir in a high threat deck forces you to either conserve his actions or try to finish quests very quickly.

Probably the biggest weakness of the fellowship is initial questing. The questing heroes are Theodred, Idraen, and Glorfindel, which is only six willpower, and the best questers in Boromir's deck are lore ents, so won't come online for a few turns. (I always start with Boromir's deck as first player, so Glorfindel can be guaranteed three resources for turn two.) Denethor can help afford an early Galadriel or Faramir or even Gandalf.
