Dueling Caldaras
Description
This fellowship consists of two mono-spirit decks that both hope to use Caldara's powerful discard ability to funnel allies into play. The key to this strategy is Desperate Alliance. When the second player is ready for a massive trigger, the first player sends Caldara over. With 6 copies each of Fortune or Fate and Dwarven Tomb, and four copies of Map of Earnil, there is plenty of opportunity to keep this combo moving.
One deck favors hobbits the other Rohan. This gives each deck a little more identity and allows for a bit more thematic play. Sideboarding in a few more lower cost thematic allies isn't the end of the world, but Caldara's combo won't be as efficient.
Sword-thain can go to either player depending on who needs it. Don't forget that Emery can enter play under anyone's control.
These decks at their core are based on Ian's (Tales from the Cards) "I Will Survive" Caldara and Dan's (Hall of Beorn) "Aggro Caldara" decks. Check these decks out if you are unfamiliar with the general operation of a solo Caldara deck.
Cool concept. A thought, maybe adding in more of Prince Imrahil and Defender of the West, so that you can get that extra ally from caldaras discard on both sides of the table :).
