I seem to be the only one who likes the manly Theoden. While not a "power deck," this deck is well rounded and can pull its own in questing and combat. Ideally Theoden gets Snowmane turn one,adds Herugrim and Warhorse as able. If Arwen is out, Theoden becomes a decent defender. with UC, he can really quest, defend and and attack, possibly twice. the coming Golden Shield will make him even more stout.
For a low starting threat of 23, this deck starts strong, able to quest for 9 or more on the first turn. Obviously, Merry could be traded out for T Eowyn when she arrives. Same threat, better questing and more late game potential. let me know what you think!

I've never had as much ire for Théoden as I've seen in the rest of the community--I think he just didn't meet the expectations at the time of bringing Rohan to the next level.

I like it! If you do eventually end up switching Merry for Éowyn, I'll be interested to know if you still prefer to put Snowmane and Herugrim on Théoden, or if you prefer to use them on Éowyn instead. You could also switch out Glorfindel for Merry, which might be an interesting option.

Have you considered using Westfold Horse-breeder to help you fetch your mounts?

Do you find Horn of Gondor triggers often enough to make it worth including?

Thanks for checking out my deck! I've had Eowyn and Theoden in the same deck before, and Herugrim and Snowmane can go on her too, but neither is helpful until she has both of them so I just go ahead and put them on Theoden because he more useful faster. I probably should switch out the Handmaiden for the Horse Breeder, but I was trying to help out the willpower a little more. But using the Horse Breeder would take some pressure off the Spirit Resources and get the horses going more reliably. Switching up to T Theoden/T Eowyn/S Merry could be even better. Then the horse breeder could fetch the hobbit pony too, which is very helpful for Merry. Horn is just my security blanket. I can hope for some resource acceleration that way.
