My inspiration for this deck was to try to use heroes I never have before. I did a pretty good job of it here -- I may have marginally used Faramir, but not the other two heroes. I coupled The Last Alliance with Gondor and Ent traits, and boy is that synergy nice!

First of all, Faramir can ready ents as you engage enemies. From a combat perspective, that's as good as getting them in ready on the first round. Second, the contract with Treebeard is a godsend -- you can ready Gondor OR Ent characters (including your heroes), and even pay from his pool for gondor allies (though I usually don't do that as I have plenty of leadership cash).

This is a high threat, combat ready deck without many options at willpower. I've found if you can put Steward of Gondor on Boromir, you'll also want to throw in Visionary Leadership (which I go and fetch with A Fair Exchange if I redraw Treebeard or Steward). Though some might suggest Blood of NĂºmenor or Gondorian Fire, the allies in this deck are stout enough to make them unnecessary (in an orc heavy quest, Skinbark is awesome, with his +1 attack coming from the contract with Boromir).

The only way to play Wellinghall Preserver is with Treebeard or The Red Arrow, a bit situational, but otherwise you are hurting for healing. I like to get to 40 threat quickly to trigger Need Drives Them, Angbor the Fearless, Veteran of Osgiliath, and Soldier of Gondor (not to mention the valour actions on Honour Guard and Doom Hangs Still), so I like to open the game with Legacy of NĂºmenor or Pillars of the Kings. That latter card is an game saver when you are spinning your wheels and see your threat climb to 49.

Enjoy!

Nice deck; you may be interested in very similar decks I made a bit ago:

One thing I really like about your decks is the inclusion of Wait no Longer. In solo, that will help with questing AND it triggers Faramir /ents a couple phases earlier (and you might get lucky enough to trigger a second time, though with your threat super high, you usually won't hold enemies in staging for a round). It's hard to pass up all the lore cards that help out the ents.
