The intention to build this deck was to use a version of Frodo and Bilbo Baggins as a homage to their common bithday two days ago. It ended up in a deck, which isn't a big help in a multiplayer game and rarely punchy enough for solo. In my first thoughts I wanted to reduce all characters to the Hobbit-trade to simulate the bithday-party. Then I integrated Gandalf because he would be a guest at such a party. Arwen and Glorfindel are specialguests for the rumour mill in the shire.
Soon I noticed, that this will be a fun-deck, so I integrated some other cards I have never used in those 1 1/2 years I spend with this great game: Good Meal, Hobbit Pipe, Courage Awakened, Small Target, Smoke Rings and last but not least everybody's darling: Fatty Bolger!
The game strategy is to mulligan for Resourceful, so you can pay for all your stuff. Afterwards you low down your thread with the Greeting, the Smoke Rings or Merry and embody yourself from the game. If you want to be a good partner, you use Arwen Undómiels ability on Frodo and defend for your mates. Gandalf is always good for a extra pipe plus combat and quest action.
